How to add your flash banner to a web page using  Microsoft FrontPage

There are two ways to add your flash banner to MS Front Page. These examples use Microsoft FrontPage 2003.

Both versions require that the flash image file (.swf extension) be copied to the web server in order to work. In FrontPage, you can move the file from the local web site to the remote web site by selecting and then right clicking on the .swf file and choosing "Publish Selected File(s)".

Method Number One: Use Banner Maker Pro for Flash to create the HTML code and then insert it into the Code tab. To do this, follow these steps.

1. Save the image in Banner Maker Pro for Flash.

2. Click on Create HTML Link Code. Enter in the Image Location and Filename and click "Create HTML Code".

3. The HTML code will appear in the box. Click the "Copy to Clipboard" button.

4. Open MS Front Page and click on the Code tab and put the cursor where you would like the image to appear.

5. Choose Paste from the Edit menu to place the html code. Click the Preview tab to view the flash banner.

Method Number Two: Use the Insert | Picture | Movie in Flash Format command.

1. Save the image in Banner Maker Pro for Flash.

2. In Microsoft FrontPage, choose Insert | Picture | Movie in Flash Format while you are on the Design tab. Select the file you have just saved (.swf format).

3. Right Click on the flash image and select "Movie in Flash Format Properties".

4. Set the width and height to the correct settings. Uncheck "Keep aspect ratio" if the size is not using the same aspect ratio.

5. Click Preview tab to view the flash banner.
